"This experience (class) has been wonderful for me and I am so happy that I had the opportunity to fine-tune my skills through this program. I would not trade my job for the world. I love it and I love the experience I am receiving here at BYU-Hawaii. I know that these experiences will prove useful later in life and I have BYU-Hawaii Food Services to thank for it."

"I strongly encourage student employees to attend this program - it is in their best interest and ours.

Students who have attended the class gain a breadth of experience from a select group of professionals whose main interest is to enhance the leadership skills of each participant. In return, participants are empowered as student leads, student
supervisors and/or students managers in all areas of Food Services.

It is a remarkable program and a wonderful opportunity for you. Get involved, become a part of an outstanding team of leaders!"

David Keala,
Director of Food Services

"It has been a wonderful experience being involved with the Food Service Student Leadership Program. As a trainer for the University, it has been my goal to help train our student employees to be well prepared as they enter the workforce. This course does just that.

I see the excitement and enthusiasm in the faces of student employees participating in this program. It has helped build their confidence and supervisory skills. I feel the combination of training and work experience will definitely give
them an edge.
